Prevention of Modern Slavery Statement
This statement on slavery and human trafficking is published on behalf of Bilby plc and its subsidiaries DCB (Kent) Limited, P&R Installation Company Limited, Purdy Contracts Limited, Spokemead Maintenance Limited and R.Dunham (UK) Limited (Group) (Bilby). This statement applies to Bilby for the financial year ended 31 March 2020.
Bilby supports the aims of all relevant modern slavery legislation and seeks to ensure that, to the best of its knowledge, slavery and human trafficking do not feature in its business or supply chain. As a policy, the Group only engages with suppliers that it believes adopt the same stance regarding the safeguarding of individuals and the eradication of slavery, forced labour and human trafficking.
Bilby continues to make reasonable endeavours to ensure all employees and agents within our supply chains are not subject to any form of forced, compulsory/bonded labour or human trafficking. Our internal policies include a whistleblowing and anti-bribery policy which apply to all employees and provide mechanisms for anonymous reporting and actions for remedying any potential modern slavery issues or concerns.
Bilby is cognisant of the impacts that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on many businesses worldwide regarding access to materials, disrupted supply chains and altered operating models, all of which may cause an increased risk of modern slavery. As such, Bilby has been engaging closely with suppliers and employees to ensure that any increased risk to the business and its supply chain are mitigated and that Bilby adhere to all relevant anti-slavery and human trafficking regulations and guidelines
Bilby’s Board of Directors are responsible for the ongoing review of this document and any relevant company policies and procedures. This review will be carried out annually or as and when organisational changes impact the way Bilby works.
